These clothes are usually distinctive and people do not like to wear them more than once in front of their friends. Some people buy bargains and never get around to wearing them.
You can repair holes or tears in clothes with an iron-on patch. You can replace missing buttons with needle and matching thread. If you can't make the repairs yourself, maybe you can find a clothes cleaner or neighborhood seamstress to do the needed repairs at a reasonable price.
A valuable and treasured piece of clothing should be stored very careful to help preserve it's beauty and shape. Wooden coat hangers are the best for hanging clothes on, knitted and woollen items should neatly folded and stored with cedar wood balls to stop moths. Very delicate items should be folded and wrapped in acid free tissue paper.
Oftentimes,this is one of those items that is also left blank on my client's worksheet. Many people just buy clothes and don't think about it that much.
